Minted Poker Review

Minted Poker of the Everleaf network has pretty much always accepted real money players from the US, but in never really managed to connect with its US customers on a level it would probably have liked. In the wake of the Black Friday indictments, and of all the exits of the major online poker rooms, it has suddenly found itself one of the top destinations for Americans. It may still not be THE online poker room for US players, but it definitely makes the top 5, maybe even the top 3.

Traffic-wise, Minted Poker is still struggling, but there are plenty of promotions, the Minted Poker rakeback and monthly rake races which make it an extremely attractive proposition, despite the scarce high-limit action. The traffic problems of the site may also become a thing of the past within a few months, especially if the legal stalemate concerning online poker persists in the US.

The peak traffic hours are the evening hours for US players. There are Omaha as well as Holdem cash tables, but most of the action is currently confined to the NL Holdem tables.

Minted Poker is an online poker room which allows its players to take a glimpse before they commit any money. Players can hit the instant play button and check out the interface as well as the flow of the action before they make a real money move. The graphics are nice and crisp, and although there's nothing truly special about the feel of the room, the software does an excellent job at what it's supposed to.

The tournament action is relatively slow at Minted Poker too. There are events starting up pretty much all the time, but they're mostly low buy-in tournaments.

As far as the Minted Poker sign-up bonus is concerned, players can chose from 4 options, each of them featuring a different percentage match depending on the size of the first deposit.
