Poker Nordica Review

Poker Nordica is a Merge network member, just like Carbon Poker. The site offers $50k in monthly freerolls, so there's plenty of free money lying around, just waiting for players to pick it up. Poker Nordica also offers a better than average sign-up bonus and a rakeback deal to go with it. The site also gives its players the possibility to make their deposits in a variety of currency types. The accepted withdrawal and deposit methods are numerous too and the support staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Given that it's a Merge network member, Poker Nordica accepts US players. Interestingly enough, despite the abundance of US players, the action at Poker Nordica tends to be on the looser side.

The game selection at the site is quite outstanding, though at some of the rarer poker variants, the action is pretty much lacking.

The traffic volume at the site isn't particularly impressive: there are 500 cash game players at the tables in peak hours and 2,000 tournament players. Despite that, whenever we played, we found enough action. Most of the traffic is focused on the low limit NL Holdem tables, but the limit tables get plenty of attention too. At the higher limits, traffic is much scarcer. The same goes for the high buy-in MTTs. The SNG traffic seems to be quite decent through all buy-in levels though.

The Poker Nordica software is great. The graphics are quite impressive. They're a bit cartoon like, but they offer a whole array of options to facilitate social interaction. There are also some quite unique features like the run it twice feature and the reveal one card feature. Just about the only drawback of the software (which is btw Mac compatible too) is that hand histories cannot be exported for later analysis.

The bottom line: Poker Nordica offers a decent player base, superb software and let's not forget about the Poker Nordica rakeback either.
