WPT Poker Review

WPT Poker has been around for a while and during its humble beginnings, it struggled with an acute shortage of traffic despite the pompous brand name that it carries. Things have finally fallen into place for the online poker room though. One should never underestimate the power of branding and even though it took some time to kick in, in WPT Poker's case, it did eventually yield results. Nowadays, the traffic is nothing short of impressive, and the poker room is brimming with promotions, of which the WSOP and WPT live event packages only make up a small portion.

There are plenty of loyalty bonuses in addition to the industry-standard sign-up bonus, and most of the loyalty bonuses feature extremely favorable roll-over requirements.

The WPT poker software isn't exactly a highly innovative product, but it serves its purpose well. Players are offered a quick seat option if they don't care much about table selection. Those who do however can use the various filters provided in the lobby to get to the table where they want to play.

One significant shortcoming of the software is that it only allows for 4 tables to be opened simultaneously. Hardcore multi tablers will definitely not appreciate that, but for the average player, that is more than enough.

Game selection isn't impressive either, but it's satisfactory: there's Holdem, Omaha and 7-Card Stud on offer, in every conceivable betting format.

Traffic-wise, WPT Poker is right up there with the best of them. Being a member of the Bwin.party network, it pretty much enjoys the same kind of traffic that Party poker does.

Traffic tends to be on the soft side at most of the micro limit tables, but there are some loose players at the higher limits as well.

Support is reachable 24/7 through email and response times are more than reasonable. Those who want live support have to phone in though, there's currently no live IM support at WPT Poker.
